I am trying to pull together a manufacturing site KPI dashboard. I am lost on how to link the widget up with the calulations and/or configuration tab. I think I am beginning to go a bit batty! Perhaps I am going about this the wrong way, should I use VLOOKUP, run some macros, or just hang it up? Looking forward to some much needed help!

Hi srmazurk

Sorry to hear you are a little lost. We are very happy to help you design your manufacturing site KPI dashboard.

Can I trouble you to upload a small sketch of what you are trying to achieve?

Something a little similar to the sketch we uploaded to the 'knowledge base' page would be helpful..

You don't need VLOOKUP and I would steer well clear of macros!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have the attached excel spreadsheet set up under "My Dashboard" on how I would like it to look. Would you like me to scan you the hand sketched version as well? Use this attachment and not the original as I have made some additional changes.

Hey srmazurk

We've taken a look at your dashboard and have come up with the following Manufacturing KPI dashboard for you. You'll notice that we've setup a database tab and a drop-down menu on the dashboard page that can be used to drill down into the data.

This version is locked but commercial license holders can download the unlocked version in the commercial license holder's download area here http://www.exceldashboardwidgets.com/ph ... ?f=25&t=89.

It looks like most of your problems with your version of the dashboard are simple formatting and linking issues. I would recommend searching the forum and taking a closer look at the tutorials that we have recently posted here.

Also, it is highly recommended to use the Selection Pane (HOME > FIND & SELECT > SELECTION PANE) when configuring the different elements of the widgets.

A heartfelt thank you!!! I think one of my issues is I am still using an older version of Excel and when I try to open your files, I lose some of the functionality. Until I get the upgrade, would you mind saving as .xls and let me see if this will help me in the interim.

Again, thank you.
